The School Play
Once a year, our UPstage classes will perform a LIVE production that family and friends are invited to attend. Our play, along with the date and time, will be announced during the winter season. 8-10 weeks before the performance, our coaches start to assign roles and begin rehearsals. With our year-round enrollment, however, no matter when your child is enrolled, they will still receive an important part in the show!
These are not your average rehearsals, as we’re always incorporating games and activities to make rehearsals and story time incredibly fun!
When it's show time, our shining stars get the chance to show off their newfound confidence on stage in front of their family and friends.
Sometimes children get nervous, but in our no shame, no blame environment we always encourage the children to do their best, whatever that may be. We strive for progress, not perfection!
Play Preview
During the winter, our coaches create a video preview recapping how each class is going so far each year! This video will showcase some of the skills the students have learned, and it will also be where we announce the play for the end of the school year. This video will be available on a password protected page on our website, and passwords will be delivered via email to all our participants parents.
The Play
Our Scripts: Our plays are based on fables such as Three Little Pigs, Three Billy Goats Gruff, or Goldilocks and the Three Bears. We make sure to include an important life lesson or moral to be taken away from the show, whether it be that sharing is caring, or that slow and steady wins the race.
Registration: Participation in the play is included in the monthly tuition for UPstage. All we need is your presence on performance night!
When and Where: Performances are typically held on weeknights at your child's preschool with times varying between 4-7 pm. You will receive an email as well as a invitation sent home with your child to inform you of a upcoming performance.
